Northern Spirit

Northern Spirit is the Winnipeg chapter of Women in Aviation International, welcoming anyone with an interest or passion for aviation. Its members include students, pilots, air traffic controllers, Transport Canada inspectors, aerospace engineers, and aviation enthusiasts. The chapter connects people across the aviation community through monthly events, which may include industry tours, guest speakers, educational seminars, and social gatherings. These activities offer opportunities to explore aviation careers, meet new people, and build professional relationships.

Members can apply for the chapter’s Spirit of Aviation Scholarship and access networking and mentorship opportunities, including the chance to find a mentor or support someone else. Northern Spirit also promotes aviation through community outreach. Its initiatives include Girls in Aviation Day in Winnipeg, career presentations for students, guest talks for youth groups, and scholarship information sessions. The chapter shares event updates and photographs through its social media accounts and invites people to join Women in Aviation International, attend upcoming events, and subscribe to its monthly newsletter.
