North Florida School of Aikido is a nonprofit martial arts organization serving Tallahassee and the surrounding northern Florida area. The school teaches Aikido, a Japanese martial art that combines practical self-defense with principles of harmony, resilience, and conflict resolution. Its classes help students develop techniques for responding to physical aggression, including redirecting an opponent’s force, while building confidence and inner balance. The school presents Aikido as an inclusive practice that does not depend on physical dominance and can offer useful principles for handling different kinds of conflict.

North Florida School of Aikido is affiliated with the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba, which is formally recognized by the International Aikikai Federation at Aikido World Headquarters, Hombu Dojo, in Tokyo. Instructor promotions are registered and issued through the headquarters. The organization also welcomes inquiries from groups interested in offering martial or non-martial arts classes at its facility. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it accepts tax-deductible donations and sponsorships to support operations, community programs, and scholarships for students who may need financial assistance.
