About North Sea Region
The Interreg North Sea Region Programme is dedicated to creating positive change in our region of Europe. Through innovative partnerships that span borders, we address pressing issues such as global heating, species loss, and emerging technology. Our aim is to make the North Sea Region smarter, greener, and more livable for its 60+ million citizens.
With approximately €177 million invested in 73 projects during the 2014-2020 period, our projects cover a wide range of aspects that are important in our region. We bring together public sector organizations, companies, academia, and NGOs to find viable solutions to complex problems. These partnerships serve as a test bed for piloting new ideas in real-life settings.
As a key driver of a more sustainable and inclusive Europe, we are proud to be part of Interreg, a family of more than 100 EU programs supporting regional development. While the current funds are fully allocated, new funding is available in the new program.
