Norway Freeride

Norway Freeride is an independent, volunteer-run organisation that organises Norway’s national freeride competitions for junior and senior athletes. Its work supports a freeride community that includes children and young adults, with participants as young as six, and offers an alternative for people who may not feel at home in more conventional winter sports.

The organisation manages the senior and junior national cup calendars, including event information, registration, standings, results and competition rulebooks. Its 2026 programme features eight junior and seven senior competitions, with several multi-event weekends. The schedule includes Freeride World Tour qualifying events: three FWTJ 3-star competitions for juniors, three FWTQ 3-star competitions for seniors and a senior FWTQ 4-star event. The cup finale is planned for Narvik around the turn of April and May, followed by a senior event at Riksgränsen.

Norway Freeride also provides information about judging, athlete insurance, organisers and age divisions, and invites people to take part in judge workshops.
