Centro de Solidariedade Social Nossa Senhora da Luz is a Portuguese social solidarity institution based in Póvoa de Santarém. As the only private social solidarity institution (IPSS) serving the Union of Parishes of Achete, Azoia de Baixo and Póvoa de Santarém, it aims to bring local communities together around practical support and shared social projects. The organisation serves people from across the area, with approximately 70% of its current service users coming from Achete.

The centre’s work focuses on social responses that benefit local residents and strengthen mutual support. Its website highlights care-related themes, including medical, residential, memory and nutrition care, alongside personalized assistance, medication management, and help with bathing and dressing. These references sit within a broader commitment to solidarity and community wellbeing. The institution also seeks to develop further services according to local needs, including a proposed residential home for older people and other social support initiatives. It welcomes the involvement of members, partners and supporters, and provides information about its history, projects, team, partnerships and annual reports.
