Not Just Any Family is a professional genealogy service helping people uncover their family histories and understand the stories behind their ancestors. Led by a genealogist with more than 25 years of international research experience, the practice specialises in London families and people connected to British India, the Far East and the Dutch Indies. Its founder holds a postgraduate diploma in genealogical, palaeographic and heraldic studies and is an AGRA Associate and a member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists.
Services range from checking existing research and creating printable family pedigree charts to detailed family-history reports and bespoke research projects. Research can explore family lines, migration, occupations and places of residence, investigate family stories, address research obstacles and provide guidance on DNA results. One-to-one support is available online or in person, and research packages can be arranged as personal gifts. The service also offers archival look-ups at institutions including The National Archives, the British Library and London Metropolitan Archives. Talks are available on introductory family history and specialist subjects.
