Notus is an innovative open-source Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software developed by the Institut d’Ingénierie et de Mécanique at Bordeaux University since 2015. Designed for modeling and simulating incompressible and subsonic fluid flows, Notus utilizes a robust numerical framework based on the Finite Volume method on Cartesian staggered grids. The software emphasizes effective interface treatment, with ongoing advancements in fluid-fluid interface advection, surface tension computation, and immersed boundary methods.
