Novam Diem

Novam Diem is an association focused on supporting people under 65 who are living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related condition. Its approach is shaped by the Carpe Diem philosophy, developed in Quebec, and emphasizes how people with illness are seen and accompanied. The association aims to provide support adapted to individual needs and to the progression of the disease, while helping people continue to live with dignity and connection to their community.

A central initiative is the planned Novam Diem houses: human-scale homes designed to adapt to residents’ changing needs, form part of the local community, and remain open to the outside world. The association also highlights home visits, professionals and a resource centre as parts of its support offering. Through project updates, meetings and information for families and the wider community, Novam Diem shares developments in its work. People can support the association by becoming members or making a contribution, helping advance its project for younger people affected by Alzheimer’s and related conditions.
