Nova Medisch Kindcentrum is a specialist care centre in Moergestel, the Netherlands, for children aged 0 to 23 with intensive medical needs who cannot temporarily or otherwise attend regular childcare or education. Its warm, safe and small-scale setting brings nursing care, therapy and development-focused activities together under one roof. Support is tailored to each child’s medical needs, abilities, development and wellbeing, with structure and predictability providing a foundation for growth, rest and enjoyment.

The centre’s services include nursing care for needs such as tracheostomy, epilepsy and diabetes, alongside physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy. Nova also offers individual feeding support, parent guidance and treatment support. Activities are adapted to children’s abilities and goals, and include play, communication, music, themed learning, movement and relaxation. Options such as adapted cycling, sensory relaxation and contact with animals help create varied experiences.

Nova works closely with parents and coordinates with other professionals and organisations, including children’s hospitals, rehabilitation centres, therapists and community teams.
