Northern Virginia Wushu Academy

NOVA Wushu Academy is a martial arts school in Chantilly, Northern Virginia, established in 2010 under the direction of Coach Stephon Morton. The academy teaches contemporary and traditional Wushu, including barehand forms, weapons training, and Taiji (Tai Chi), to children and adults of varied experience levels. Its programs range from beginner classes to advanced training for competitive athletes, with specialized options for long-weapon practice, competition teams, and performance groups. Traditional Taiji and internal arts classes focus on balance, strength, and mindfulness, while private lessons are available by appointment.

Led by instructors with international competition experience, NOVA Wushu Academy offers personalized training in a supportive community. Its philosophy emphasizes more than physical skill: students are encouraged to develop confidence, discipline, resilience, physical health, and mental balance. The academy reports training more than 700 students and earning over 1,500 medals at regional, national, and international competitions.
