The Novgorod Regional Council of Young Writers of the Writers’ Union of Russia supports literary creativity and brings together emerging and established authors across the Novgorod region. Its activities include the regional youth literary association “Stilos” and the “Novgorod Detinets” creative competition for young writers, as well as the regional “Poet of the Year” contest. The organization shares work by local authors and promotes the region’s literary life through news, events, and cultural projects.

Its website offers a library of poetry, prose, and drama, with works organized by author, genre, district, and city. Visitors can also explore audio recordings, video materials, and information about books, literary publications, and events. Recent activities featured presentations of the “Novgorod Detinets” youth literary almanac, readings, discussions, and concerts. By connecting writers with readers and providing platforms for publication and creative exchange, the Council helps showcase contemporary writing from Novgorod and encourages young people to take part in the region’s literary community.
