Nový Rybník – Staré Splavy is a private sport-fishing venue in the Czech Republic, offering anglers a distinctive setting and a catch-and-release experience. The 2.5-hectare pond sits at an elevation of 270 metres and is supplied year-round by five streams from nearby wet meadows and peatland. In summer, shaded areas of the surrounding forest provide cooler water where fish can shelter.
The fishery is known for its varied and unusual stock, including common carp, large albino catfish, bigmouth buffalo, seven species of sturgeon, koi carp, pike, barbel, golden ide, brown trout, rainbow trout and brook trout. Its prized koi include a Matsuba weighing more than 10 kilograms.
Visitors can choose a fishing spot, make a reservation and complete payment within seven days, then enjoy recreational fishing under the venue’s visitor rules.
