About NPA of NSW
The National Parks Association of NSW (NPA) is a member-based conservation organization and registered charity with a mission to protect nature through community action. Committed to preserving the integrity and diversity of nature, NPA works to conserve and restore biodiversity, geodiversity, and ecological processes, while also respecting associated cultural values. NPA's conservation efforts are complemented by providing opportunities for people to experience, appreciate, study, and care for nature.
Their work includes advocating for a secure network of protected areas and sound land management, connecting people with nature through bushwalking and nature study, and enabling community action through collaboration with allied organizations. With a focus on protected areas, NPA aims to safeguard core natural areas for future generations. Established in 1957, NPA has been instrumental in protecting conservation reserves in NSW, and continues to work towards achieving 30% protection across land and sea by 2030
