NPI Who

The federal government publishes a lot about American doctors, but it spreads the records across separate files and search tools. The NPPES registry has a provider's NPI, specialty and practice address. CMS Open Payments lists what drug and device companies paid them. Medicare Part B and Part D files show what they bill and prescribe, and the OIG keeps the list of people excluded from federal health programs. ProPublica's Dollars for Docs used to bring some of this together, but it stopped updating in 2019.

NPI Who puts these records on one page per provider. It covers about 9.4 million providers by NPI, and 1.6 million of them have industry payments on record in Open Payments for 2019 through 2025. Each figure restates a public record, links to the source and shows the file date. You can use the site without an account or a paywall. We don't score or rate doctors; the pages report what the files say.

Beyond provider pages, the site has CMS nursing home ratings, inspections and fines, listings for hospitals, hospices, home health agencies and community health centers, Open Payments reports for each state and the country, and provider statistics by profession and state.

Providers can claim their page to correct it or add details, and anyone can report an error. We handle removal requests one at a time.

The payments data is also published as an open dataset with a DOI. An MCP server lets AI assistants look up providers and cite the source.
