Národní park Podyjí

The Administration of Podyjí National Park is the official organization responsible for a protected area in southwestern Moravia, Czechia. The park preserves an exceptionally well-conserved river valley along the Dyje, known for its meanders, rocky cliffs, ravines, scree slopes, floodplain meadows, wooded landscapes, and sunlit forest-steppe habitats. Its varied terrain supports a remarkable diversity of plant and animal species within a relatively small area. Across the Austrian border, Podyjí connects with Thayatal National Park to form a cross-border protected landscape.

The Administration supports the care and protection of the park’s natural environment and helps visitors discover the area. Its website provides practical information about visiting Podyjí, maps and a geoportal, weather updates, event listings, and news about conservation and park activities. It also offers educational resources for schools, publications, photo galleries, and information about the organization and its work. The Administration collaborates with Nationalparkverwaltung Thayatal and participates in European protected-area networks, reflecting its commitment to conservation and international cooperation.
