The National Rifle Association (NRA) is America's longest-standing civil rights organization, dedicated to preserving the Second Amendment and promoting responsible firearm ownership. With over five million members, the NRA actively defends the rights of individuals while honoring the legacy of historical patriots. Founded in 1871 by Union veterans, the organization emphasizes marksmanship, youth education, and community engagement through various programs.
The NRA offers a wide range of products and services, including firearms training through NRA instructors, adaptive shooting programs, and youth initiatives like the Eddie Eagle GunSafe® Program. Additionally, they provide competitive shooting opportunities, events such as the Great American Outdoor Show, and resources for law enforcement and educational institutions.
Their commitment to safety and education is reinforced through scholarly publications, a comprehensive online training catalog, and dedicated programs for women and youth. With its rich history and expansive influence, the NRA continues to shape America's shooting sports landscape while advocating for the rights and responsibilities of gun owners.
