Newcastle Radio Yacht Squadron (NRYS) is a radio yacht sailing club based in Newcastle’s CBD, sailing from Carrington Foreshore, New South Wales. Its purpose is to strengthen radio yacht sailing in the Newcastle area and support participation in the sport. The squadron is a member of the New South Wales Radio Yacht Association and sails on waters covered by an aquatic licence held by Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club (NCYC). NRYS describes its relationship with NCYC as a close working partnership and is supported by Orica.
The club offers an ongoing membership program and encourages interclub activity, including plans to run interclub events.
