About NIGERIAN SOCIETY OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERS
The Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) is a professional body founded in 1969 by Nigerian chemical engineers who returned home after training abroad. Managed by a National Executive Council and Board of Directors, the Society works to advance chemical engineering and support its practitioners across Nigeria. Its mission is to build a strong professional organization that promotes the relevance and versatility of the discipline, improves training, and keeps engineers’ knowledge current. NSChE’s vision is to become a centre of excellence for chemical engineering in Africa and a leading force in Nigeria’s industrialization. Its guiding values include excellence, professionalism, commitment, integrity, ethical standards, members’ welfare, and respect for the rule of law.
NSChE offers professional membership and registration, a membership directory, sectoral groups, examinations and admission processes, mentorship, and career-oriented support. It connects members and students through conferences, seminars, workshops, technical meetings, and training. The Society also publishes a journal, newsletters, technical papers, and other resources through its e-library, alongside news, surveys, and industry commentary.
