The Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic is the highest authority in administrative justice. It ensures the legality of decisions made by administrative courts in proceedings regarding cassation appeals, providing protection for the subjective rights and interests of individuals and legal entities against unlawful exercise of public authority. In addition to this crucial role, the court also plays an indispensable function in democratic society by guaranteeing the lawful conduct of elections.

It decides on matters such as the registration of candidate lists for elections to the National Council of the Slovak Republic and the European Parliament, as well as the constitutionality and legality of elections to local self-government bodies and lawsuits for the dissolution of political parties and movements.
