NTMA

The National Terrazzo & Mosaic Association (NTMA) is a nonprofit trade association headquartered in Fredericksburg, Texas. It promotes craftsmanship, education, and creativity in quality terrazzo, and establishes national standards for terrazzo floor and wall systems. The association supports architects, designers, contractors, suppliers, and others working with terrazzo by providing specifications, technical details, color plates, and general information at no cost.

NTMA’s resources cover terrazzo types and systems, including epoxy, cement-based, precast, and other applications, along with installation methods, maintenance, restoration, and technical guidance. Its website also offers a contractor and supplier directory, design resources, a terrazzo color palette, case studies, videos, and examples recognized through its Honor Awards.

Terrazzo itself is a durable, low-maintenance surfacing material made by combining aggregates—such as marble, quartz, granite, or recycled glass—with cement or epoxy, then polishing the surface. It can be used on floors, walls, stairs, countertops, and other architectural features. Through its educational materials and industry network, NTMA helps professionals explore terrazzo’s design flexibility, performance, and sustainability.
