North Texas SNAP

North Texas SNAP is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1999 by a group of parents in Northeast Tarrant County. They wanted to create opportunities for their children with intellectual disabilities as they transitioned into adulthood. Frustrated with the lack of support, they decided to make a difference in the lives of these individuals and their families.

North Texas SNAP is dedicated to providing effective support and believes that an individual's success is determined by the quality of their support, not their disability. The organization offers a wide range of programs and activities tailored to the specific needs and potential of its members. From the Ambassador Club and Book Clubs to the J.

O. B. S.

Club and Expanded Living for Everyone Program, North Texas SNAP strives to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their goals. They also organize social activities, such as Girls' Night Out and Men's Club, to foster friendships and a sense of belonging within the community. North Texas SNAP welcomes members from diverse backgrounds, including intellectually disabled individuals, their families, business professionals, and community members.

They believe in the uniqueness of each individual and aim to provide an individualized approach that serves their specific needs.
