Nurses United Against Human Trafficking (NUAHT) is a brand that was founded in 2020 by two nurses who are passionate about eradicating modern-day slavery. This organization offers consulting services for healthcare professionals, focusing on building human trafficking protocols and community response teams. NUAHT aims to educate, equip, and empower healthcare professionals by providing comprehensive resources and a learning management system.

The founders of NUAHT are accomplished individuals in their field. Tammy Toney-Butler, RN, CEN, TCRN, CPEN-Forensic Examiner, brings her expertise as an anti-human trafficking consultant, survivor leader, and published author. Drawing from her lived experience as a survivor and her role as a forensic nurse examiner, Tammy provides a relatable and expert perspective, advocating for the healthcare and spiritual needs of trafficking survivors.

Dr. Francine Bono-Neri, PhD, RN, APRN, PNP, is an experienced pediatric nurse practitioner and academic nurse educator. With over 30 years of experience, Francine is dedicated to raising awareness of human trafficking among nurses.

She focuses on pediatric research and advocacy, emphasizing the need for education on human trafficking starting from undergraduate studies. NUAHT's mission is to create a united front against human trafficking by providing support, resources, and education to healthcare professionals.
