Nudi Pixel

Nudi Pixel is a vibrant community-driven platform dedicated to underwater photography enthusiasts, particularly focusing on the stunning world of nudibranchs. Founded by Erwin Kodiat in 2007, the website emerged from a shared passion among divers and photographers who sought to identify the many unique species of these colorful marine creatures. Initially a solo project, Nudi Pixel quickly gained popularity, amassing over 40,000 photos contributed by photographers worldwide, including many renowned authors of nudibranch literature who sourced images for their reference books.

In 2023, Nudi Pixel underwent a revitalization led by Erwin, alongside programmer Budi Sentosa and graphic designer Dicky Juwono, transforming it into a collaborative community platform launched in August 2024. This new version implements a voting mechanism where contributors and experts help classify submitted photos, ensuring a richer and more interactive experience. With an emphasis on education and identification, Nudi Pixel remains an essential resource for divers and marine life enthusiasts eager to explore the intricate beauty of underwater biodiversity.
