The National UFO Reporting Center, founded in 1974 by renowned investigator Robert J. Gribble, is dedicated to receiving, recording, and documenting reports of unusual, potentially UFO-related events. With a history of processing over 170,000 reports, the Center has become a trusted resource for individuals who have witnessed such phenomena. They offer guaranteed anonymity to callers, making it one of the most popular and well-accepted national UFO reporting facilities. The Center receives reports through their website, which has been operating continuously since 1994, as well as through a telephone hotline and mail prior to that. Law enforcement agencies, FAA ARTCC's, National Weather Services offices, and many other organizations direct calls regarding possible UFO sightings to the Center.

The National UFO Reporting Center distinguishes itself by making all of its data available to the public in summary form and provides detailed information to experienced investigators. The Center is a non-profit Washington State corporation.

Heading the organization is Center Director Peter Davenport, who has been involved in UFO investigations since 1994. Peter is widely respected in the field and frequently gives lectures on notable cases. Christian Stepien, the CTO, oversees the website and database of the Center. Both individuals have extensive experience and a lifelong interest in UFOs.
