Nugis Finem

Nugis Finem is a Czech nonprofit organization dedicated to improving legal awareness and advancing education, particularly in law. Its work is motivated by the belief that basic legal knowledge can help people understand what they sign, recognize potential consequences, and seek assistance sooner. The organization makes its educational resources and activities available free of charge, supported by a community of patrons and donors.

Its projects include Nostis, an online learning platform offering free legal courses developed in collaboration with Czech universities, and Iurium Encyklopedie, an open legal encyclopedia. Nugis Finem also publishes a legal news journal featuring expert articles, interviews, and updates on legislation and case law. Through its school program, it arranges talks for primary and secondary students across the Czech Republic, addressing common legal issues. Other activities include debates, the Noc práva legal festival, and the publication of specialist and literary books through Nugis Finem Publishing. The organization also supports professional legal discussion through journals covering topics such as legal theory, ethics, and constitutional law.
