The Octavian Iliescu Documentary Archive is a research-focused project dedicated to preserving and presenting materials related to Romanian numismatics. Its website brings together information about the archive’s scientific activity, private correspondence, and the project itself, offering visitors a structured introduction to its work and subject areas. The collection’s coverage spans pre-modern, modern, and contemporary numismatics, with particular attention to medieval coinage.

Topics include medieval Wallachian and Moldavian numismatics, as well as medieval Dobrujan and foreign European numismatics. The site also features reviews, providing an additional perspective on relevant scholarship and publications. Organized into clear sections, the archive serves researchers and readers interested in the history of coins and monetary culture across Romania and Europe.

Rather than presenting a commercial product range, it makes documentary and scholarly resources accessible through an online platform, supporting exploration of Octavian Iliescu’s legacy and the broader study of numismatic history
