Nurmijärven Maila ry is a Finnish baseball club founded in 1982, dedicated to promoting pesäpallo as both a recreational activity and a competitive sport in Nurmijärvi. The club has a strong community focus, with children and young people at the heart of its activities, while welcoming players and participants of different ages and skill levels. Its offerings include baseball school, recreational pesäpallo and teams competing in league play.
Newcomers can join in a relaxed, encouraging environment where they can practise, play and develop alongside others. Beyond playing, people can contribute to the club as umpires or volunteers, supporting its activities and local sporting life. Over the years, Nurmijärven Maila has provided opportunities for hundreds of children and adults to get active and has become part of the area’s sports culture.
The club invites people to take part, whether they are discovering pesäpallo for the first time, seeking a regular hobby, or looking to compete and help keep the sport thriving in Nurmijärvi
