Brita Golsby-Smith Infant Feeding & Settling Support is a family-centred infant care practice serving families across the Illawarra, from Otford to Shell Cove, with home visits and telehealth follow-ups. Led by Brita Golsby-Smith, a registered nurse with neonatal intensive care experience, the practice provides gentle, evidence-based support for feeding, settling and infant sleep. Brita is training toward IBCLC certification and in Neuroprotective Developmental Care, an approach that supports breastfeeding, infant sleep and cry-fuss concerns without rigid schedules or cry-it-out methods.

Services include breastfeeding assessments, bottle and combination-feeding guidance, support with fussy feeding, responsive settling advice, and infant weight and growth monitoring during the first year. Consultations are tailored to each baby and family, with practical written plans and, when needed, liaison with a family’s preferred GP or care team. Initial appointments take place at home, while follow-ups can be held at home or by phone or video. The practice welcomes diverse family structures and feeding choices, offering non-judgemental support that includes parents and their chosen support people.
