NHAA (Nursing Homes Abuse Advocates) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to addressing nursing home abuse, neglect, and unsafe practices. Our mission is to provide the public with updated information on abuse, neglect, and unsafe practices so that individuals can make informed decisions about choosing a facility or taking action on behalf of neglected or deceased nursing home residents. One of our key resources is the NHAA Watchlist, which tracks nursing homes that have harmed residents, have unsafe practices, inadequate staffing levels, and poor ratings.

We compile investigations conducted by state and federal nursing home inspectors and process complaints from families across the United States. This information is made available to the public, allowing individuals to access and use it when making important decisions. At NHAA, we offer free services, including research and interviews, which allow communities to participate without fear and callers to provide information anonymously.

We also educate individuals on recognizing signs of abuse and neglect, understanding their rights as residents, and taking action to protect vulnerable individuals.
