Nurtured Parenting provides sleep, feeding and parenting education to help families navigate the challenges of raising children. Drawing on more than 40 years of expertise in maternal and child health, the service uses the Solihull Approach to inform its understanding of child behaviour, development and emotional well-being. Its supportive, holistic and practical approach is tailored to each child, family and set of circumstances.
Parents can access one-to-one consultations by phone, Zoom or home visit, with individualised plans designed to build their knowledge, skills and confidence around sleep, feeding and behaviour. Support is gentle and responsive to each family’s comfort and goals; Nurtured Parenting does not use controlled crying or crying-out methods. The service also offers the Solihull Approach Parenting Plus Program, including Understanding Your Baby, which explores relationships, feelings, brain development, responsive care, sleep, feeding and play. Led by Lian, Nurtured Parenting aims to help parents feel reassured, understand their child’s needs and make changes in a way that supports the whole family.
