Nurturenest

Nurturenest is a baby, breastfeeding, birthing and parenting center in Durbanville, in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs. It offers a calm, welcoming space where expecting and new parents can find guidance, practical support and gentle ways to care for themselves and their babies. The center’s approach emphasizes personalized care, evidence-based information and support for a healthy, positive pregnancy, birth and parenting journey.

For expecting parents, Nurturenest provides evening antenatal courses and a compact Saturday course, with time to address both physical and emotional needs. After birth, its caring midwives offer postpartum and newborn support, including physical examinations, breastfeeding assistance and answers to parents’ questions. The center also runs age-appropriate Baby & Me stimulation classes to encourage babies’ physical and emotional development and help parents connect with others.

Practical workshops cover baby massage, starting solids, infant CPR and first aid, and choosing a breast pump when returning to work. Through these services, Nurturenest supports families with education, connection and attentive care during pregnancy and early parenthood.
