Nurturing Nectar

Nurturing Nectar provides compassionate, personalized breastfeeding and lactation support for families in Long Beach, Gardena, and communities throughout the South Bay and Los Angeles. Founded and led by Alicia Gonzalez, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), the practice works with parents to develop individualized care plans that respect their circumstances, concerns, and goals.

Support is available through office visits in Gardena, home visits, and virtual appointments. Home visits serve families in Long Beach and nearby areas, including Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Rancho Palos Verdes, Lakewood, Seal Beach, Signal Hill, Cerritos, Norwalk, Downey, and Carson. Virtual care is available across the United States.

Nurturing Nectar can help with challenges such as nipple pain, low milk supply, difficulty latching, breast refusal, engorgement, plugged ducts, mastitis, and slow infant weight gain. The practice also offers prenatal support and guidance for returning to work and pumping. Its approach emphasizes a safe, nonjudgmental environment where families can discuss their needs and receive practical lactation care.
