Nurturing Smiles is a non-profit organization with a vision to create a world where mothers and their children are healthy and thriving. Their mission is to break down barriers to access, cost, and quality of oral health care for low-income mothers and their families in Pennsylvania. They achieve this through holistic health education and their Mobile Clinic, which offers low to no-cost treatment.

Founder/CEO Jessica Jean-Burton RDH, PhDHP, MPA, was inspired to start Nurturing Smiles based on her personal experience with recurrent dental complications. The organization focuses on educating pregnant women about the importance of oral health during pregnancy and preventing childhood caries in young children by improving the oral health of expectant mothers. Nurturing Smiles also offers a range of services, including low/no-cost treatment, diagnostics/preventative treatment, educational sessions, and community outreach programs.

By improving access to oral health services and promoting diversity within the dental profession, Nurturing Smiles aims to ignite positive change and create brighter smiles for every generation
