Narrenverein Grünkraut e.V. is a community carnival association in Grünkraut, Germany, dedicated to keeping the Swabian-Alemannic Fasnet tradition lively. For more than 30 years, the club has brought its customs to life at carnival parades, community celebrations and its own major Narrensprung through Grünkraut. Its roughly 450 members include active carnival participants, children and young people, and supporting members, creating a welcoming place for different generations to take part.

The association organizes a varied annual program, including a children’s ball with music, dancing and games, a ceremonial tree-raising, and a large parade followed by celebrations in the hall and tent. It also holds community activities such as a Christmas market and a carnival baptism. Traditional costumes and wooden masks are central to the club’s identity, with clear rules helping preserve their appearance and proper use. People can join as active or supporting members, while businesses and individuals can support the association through sponsorship. Volunteers manage the club’s organization, finances and community life, helping pass local traditions on to future generations.
