NV art antiques

NV art & antiques is an independent art and antiques consultancy based in The Hague, Netherlands, serving clients by appointment. Owned by art historian Nienke Voorhuis, the business draws on her family background in antiques, a master’s degree in Art History from Leiden University, and decades of experience in the field. Its work focuses on European art and antiques from the 17th to 20th centuries, with particular expertise in European sculpture made after 1700. Nienke also has an interest in art from other regions and periods, including Asian and Pre-Columbian works.

NV advises clients on buying and selling individual objects or complete collections, and can help locate specific pieces, identify potential buyers, and research an object’s history. The consultancy also explains restoration options and provides guidance and price offers before work is undertaken. Appraisals and written reports support purposes including insurance, market valuation, inheritance, probate, family division, and charitable donations. Clients benefit from Nienke’s knowledge and network of buyers, sellers, colleagues, and restorers.
