NWA Wrestling Academy

NWA Wrestling Academy is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Northwest Arkansas, founded and led by Executive Director John Fogarty. The academy aims to grow the sport of wrestling, strengthen the skills of wrestlers and coaches, and help student athletes of all ages and genders develop character. Its programs are designed to supplement existing high school and youth wrestling programs rather than replace them.

The academy offers wrestling camps and clinics, along with goal-setting guidance, film study, strengths and weaknesses assessment, and technique training sessions. These services are intended to help young athletes improve their abilities and continue developing as students both on and off the mat. Fogarty believes wrestling can prepare children for life and draws on the sport’s influence in shaping his own experiences. Through instruction and athlete development, NWA Wrestling Academy supports wrestlers and coaches while emphasizing personal growth alongside performance. The organization welcomes participants across age groups and genders, reflecting its stated commitment to making wrestling development available to a broad community of student athletes.
