National White Dove Release Society

The National White Dove Release Society (NWDRS) is a directory and professional network dedicated to promoting ethical, humane white dove releases across the United States. Its website helps visitors find a dove release professional by location and showcases member businesses that provide ceremonies for meaningful occasions. The society emphasizes the use of healthy, trained, banded white homing pigeons. These birds are released by professional handlers and return to their home lofts, where they are cared for.

NWDRS members customize ceremonies to suit clients and audiences, offering a symbolic way to mark occasions associated with love, peace, and hope. The organization also provides information about the birds, a library, and resources for professionals interested in joining its network.

Each year, NWDRS honors those who died in the September 11, 2001 attacks, including victims and fallen emergency responders. Members and other release businesses may donate community dove releases for the memorial, and participation is open to nonmembers as well. The site provides details for pledging a release and connecting with the society.
