NWT Ski

Cross Country NWT (CCNWT) is an organization dedicated to promoting and developing cross-country skiing throughout Canada’s Northwest Territories. It connects people with local ski clubs and supports opportunities for skiers across the territory, helping strengthen participation in the sport at different stages of life. The organization shares information about ski trails, events, club contacts, policies, and the history of skiing in the NWT, while also providing resources related to safe sport.

CCNWT supports skiers through initiatives such as its post-secondary grant, which provides funding to eligible NWT skiers pursuing education and continuing their skiing activities. It also works with community partners to expand access to skiing. In collaboration with Spirit North, and with support from the Community Sport for All initiative, CCNWT helped deliver ski programming to youth.

Through news, grants, partnerships, and connections to local clubs, Cross Country NWT works to make cross-country skiing more accessible and to encourage the sport’s continued growth across the Northwest Territories.
