NY AKROPOLIS

Ny Akropolis is a philosophy and cultural organization based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Its work centres on the search for wisdom and deeper understanding of nature, humanity and the universe. The organization presents philosophy as an ongoing exploration, connecting ideas with questions about how people live and their place in the world.

Ny Akropolis offers courses and public events for people interested in philosophical ideas. Its programme includes introductory sessions and talks exploring subjects such as the relationship between philosophy and science, the work of H.C. Ørsted, and Stoic thought through Seneca’s reflections on the art of living. Events also invite participants to consider questions about what matters in life and how individuals can contribute to a better world.

Alongside philosophy, the organization promotes culture and creative expression, including art, music, poetry, play and dance as ways to broaden perspectives. It also encourages volunteer work as a form of open-hearted contribution. Ny Akropolis describes human solidarity as a guiding principle, grounded in respect for each individual.
