New York Blood Center (NYBC) is a community-based, nonprofit blood collection and distribution organization serving patients and supporting public health. As part of New York Blood Center Enterprises, it serves communities across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut and is among the largest organizations of its kind in the United States. NYBC helps connect donors with local donation centers and community blood drives, with nearly 50 drives held each day in New York and New Jersey.

Donors can give whole blood, double red cells, platelets, or plasma, and the organization provides information about eligibility, donation procedures, health and safety, and post-donation care. First-time donors can find guidance and schedule appointments, while returning donors can use the online portal to review results and book future visits. NYBC also offers donor loyalty programs, supports community members who host blood drives, and welcomes volunteers and student participation through programs and scholarships.
