Nyborg Sportsfiskerforening is a Danish angling association bringing together more than 100 members who enjoy fishing, nature and community. Founded on 4 November 1944 as Nyborg Lystfiskerforening, it provides members with access to a varied range of fishing waters around Nyborg and the surrounding area. These include local lakes and rivers, the Voldgravene around Nyborg Castle, and fishing opportunities in both freshwater and saltwater. The nearby coast, stretching from Kerteminde to Svendborg, offers access to popular fishing grounds, while local waters support many fish species.
The association’s purpose is to secure fishing access for members through leases and fishing rights, encourage responsible sports fishing, and help care for fish stocks in its waters. It also supports an active club life through evenings, group outings and competitions. Members take part in habitat and water-care initiatives, as well as voluntary work for nature. With fishing opportunities in different settings and seasons, the association welcomes people looking to pursue their interest at their own pace while sharing experiences with fellow anglers.
