Nystedgård is an organic farm located near the village of Slagslunde, between Copenhagen and Frederikssund in Denmark. The farm has practiced organic agriculture since 2002, growing crops primarily for food consumption and seed production. It also keeps free-range hens on one of its grass fields. The hens live in mobile houses and produce the farm’s organic eggs.
Freshly laid eggs are available every day from Nystedgård’s farm shop at Hesselvej 79, between Slagslunde and Ganløse. The listed prices are 40 Danish kroner for 10 eggs and 110 kroner for 30 eggs. Visitors can learn more about the farm’s history and crops, as well as its hens and eggs, through information on the Nystedgård website. The farm also shares offers and other news on its Facebook page.
Nystedgård is based in Stenløse, Denmark, and is associated with Niels Heine Kristensen. Its focus on organic farming, free-range hens, and direct farm-gate egg sales connects local food production with a straightforward way for customers to buy fresh eggs.
