The National Youth Theatre Company (NYTC) is New Zealand's premier musical theatre training program for young people aged 7-21. Aspiring performers can join NYTC without audition and take part in a range of performing arts training programs. These include workshops, holiday programs, and two full-scale musical theatre productions each year, featuring a diverse cast of up to 250 talented individuals.

NYTC creates an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for young performers, where they can have fun, build confidence, and develop essential capabilities such as communication and language skills, imagination, coordination, teamwork, and resilience. Their professional theatre mentors provide unique opportunities for participants to be part of major theatrical productions. In addition to their regular programs, NYTC has an Outreach program that provides full scholarships to deserving students and presents four school performances each year, partnering with schools to fully fund their attendance.
