The National Youth Theatre (NYT) is a UK-based registered charity and creative community for young people aged 11–25. It helps emerging storytellers find opportunities on stage, on page, behind the scenes and on screen, combining performance with practical learning and participation. Its programme includes auditions, productions, workshops and courses for different ages and experience levels.

Offerings include Drama Club, Stepping Up, Playing Up, Backstage Courses, Script School, masterclasses and free creative workshops, alongside members-only opportunities through the NYT Studio and Hub. NYT presents a changing programme of performances and events, with an archive spanning productions from 1956 to today. The organisation also shares digital content and supports young people through initiatives such as bursaries and mentoring.

Based at 443–445 Holloway Road in London, NYT offers accessible spaces for hire, including studios, rehearsal rooms and a theatre. Supporters can donate, join its community, attend events, take courses or purchase merchandise.
