About NYU Law Review
The New York University Law Review, founded in 1924 as the Annual Review of the Law School of New York University, is a prestigious academic law journal dedicated to fostering impactful legal scholarship. It publishes six issues annually—April, May, June, October, November, and December—aiming to address contemporary challenges through innovative ideas across various academic subjects. The Law Review serves two core purposes: to produce scholarship that influences the rule of law and to develop future leaders in the legal profession. It actively engages in public service by elevating diverse perspectives and underrepresented voices within the legal community.
Members of the Law Review are trained in rigorous evaluation of submissions, enhancing their editing, research, and writing skills through a comprehensive Note-writing program. The journal's commitment to diversity has been evident since its inception, and it remains steadfast in selecting a rich array of topics and authors. Ultimately, the New York University Law Review strives not only to publish influential work but also to cultivate a vibrant legal community that mirrors the variety of society itself.
