About NZ Avocado 🥑
NZ Avocado is a brand that works closely with growers to promote and advance the avocado industry in New Zealand. With a vision and strategy in place, they aim to quadruple sales to $280 million and triple productivity by 2023. The industry is actively seeking opportunities in export markets as well as the domestic market, supported by innovation and collaboration with stakeholders and new partnerships with the Crown and Crown Research Institutes.
Although New Zealand currently produces only 2% of the global avocado supply, it is the ninth largest exporter of avocados worldwide. The majority of avocado trees are planted in the Bay of Plenty and Northland, covering over 4,000 hectares. The brand takes pride in packing the goodness of New Zealand into every slice of avocado they share with the world.
