NZDA Waikato

NZDA Waikato is the Waikato branch of the New Zealand Deerstalkers Association, based in Hamilton. The branch promotes the safe, ethical and enjoyable pursuit of recreational hunting, sport shooting and related activities. It is part of a national association that has advocated for recreational hunting, bushcraft and shooting for more than 75 years, while encouraging responsible firearms use and respect for native flora and fauna. The association supports the principle that wildlife should generally remain publicly owned, and opposes exclusive access to public fish and wildlife resources.

NZDA Waikato provides information and opportunities for people interested in these activities through its club calendar, hunts, courses and photo gallery. Its website also features membership information, newsletters, contact details and updates from the branch, including committee meeting minutes. The branch highlights its Pureora fly-in hunts as part of its hunting activities. Through these resources and events, NZDA Waikato serves its local community of recreational hunters and sport shooters, promoting responsible participation and connection with the outdoors.
