About NZLTC
The New Zealand Land Treatment Collective (NZLTC) was established in 1989 to support research into the treatment of wastes and waste products by land application. The collective provides members with the latest information on land treatment technology, research, and information to improve communication among stakeholders in the waste management industry. Land treatment systems are known to be an environmentally sound and cost-effective means of treating various waste products like sewage, municipal biosolids, and industrial waste.
The NZLTC focuses on enhancing technology for the land treatment of waste products by funding research projects and developing guidelines, such as the New Zealand Guidelines for Utilisation of Sewage Effluent onto Land. With members from research organizations, universities, councils, government departments, and consulting companies, the NZLTC aims to promote sustainable waste management practices and minimize negative environmental impacts through land treatment methods
