Stowarzyszenie NZS 1980 is a Polish association dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and legacy of the Independent Students’ Association (Niezależne Zrzeszenie Studentów, or NZS), founded in 1980. Its website documents the organization’s origins and activities, with particular attention to student activism and the democratic opposition in Poland during the 1979–1989 period. The association organizes and publicizes commemorative events, anniversaries, debates, meetings, and cultural programs, and shares news about its members and public gatherings.
Its resources include historical articles, a timeline of opposition activity, a gallery, audio and film materials, and e-books covering subjects such as NZS, martial law in Kraków and Małopolska, and the Freedom and Solidarity Cross. The site also provides information about the association’s statutes, founding and honorary members, governing bodies, charitable commission, bulletin, and activities. Through its educational and commemorative work, Stowarzyszenie NZS 1980 connects historical records with events and materials for people interested in Poland’s student movement and recent history
