OACK

Oslo Akershus Curlingkrets (OACK) is the regional curling association serving Oslo and Akershus, bringing together local clubs and players. It organizes divisional league play across multiple levels, regional championships and individual competitions, and shares results, schedules and information about upcoming events. OACK also supports participation by newer teams through introductory tournaments, where experienced curlers provide guidance on the ice.

The association promotes learning and skill development through curling courses and its Curling School resources for students and teachers. Courses can cover delivery and sliding technique, tactics, strategy, communication and ice preparation. OACK provides clubs and members with practical resources, including competition regulations, playing rules, historical results, training-planning tools and information about grants and support schemes. It also publishes meeting documents, annual reports and updates to rules and governance.

By coordinating competitions, offering opportunities to learn and maintaining guidance for organized play, OACK helps sustain curling activity across the region. Its events bring together players from different clubs and experience levels, supporting both competitive play and a welcoming community around the sport.
